Came across this in my reading and was reminded of something you posted a few months back....its by Thomas Merton, who if you haven't read, you should! I think you'd like him.
"Love seeks one thing only: the good of the one loved. It leaves all the other secondary effects to take care of themselves. Love, therefore, is its own reward."
